Ballwin is an eastern Missouri city located west of St. Louis. According to the 2010 census, Ballwin has a population of about 33,400 residents. In 2005, 2011, and 2013 the city was named as one of the 100 best places to live in America according to Money Magazine. Ballwin was laid out in 1837 and is named for John Ball, who originally settled Ballwin’s site in 1804. Since 1866, a post office has operated in the city.
