Located northwest of St. Louis, Clayton, Missouri is a city that had a population of almost 16,000 residents in 2010 according to the United States Census Bureau. The city serves as the county seat of St. Louis County. Organized in 1877, the city is named after Ralph Clayton, an individual who donated land for Clayton’s first courthouse.
